Paulo Nenflídio uses constructional techniques to create his works. He employs diverse materials, frequently destroying readymade objects, with all their parts, and regrouping these fragments of technology with the intent of creating something new. This epitomizes the 'gambiarra' concept, in which the artist is a master. Nenflídio plans to present kinetic and sound pieces in his exhibition project. They are gadgets that suggest the technological side of Physics, works that relate to the acoustic properties of sound and the plasticity of motion.

AERIALBIKEWAY/CICLOVIAEREA is a project that Jarbas Lopes has been developing since 2001, based on the idea of an aerial road exclusively for bicycles. Its main idea is a suspended line that slopes gently downwards, creating a forward momentum all along its length. Facilitating longdistance cycling in the context of daily urban circulation, it is a futuristic construction for the present.

The AERIALBIKEWAY consists of actions, associations, and aesthetic representations inspired by the use of bicycles for both fun and transpor tation. The purpose of this project is to look at bike riding as a technology that is connected with the body – 50% human, 50% machine – but also invokes and exemplifies two important contemporary issues: sustainability and mobility.
