Gallery Information
Established in 1989 in São Paulo, Brazil, Galeria Nara Roesler represents celebrated artists Hélio Oiticica, Abraham Palatnik, Antonio Manuel, and Julio Le Parc, as well as a group of ascending artists, including Cao Guimarães, Brígida Baltar, Artur Lescher, Paulo Bruscky, and Laura Vinci – all of whom participated to acclaim at the São Paulo Biennial. Our team also includes Latin American artists who dialogue with Brazilian art history and contemporary production, which is the case of Alber to Baraya, who has been invited to the 53rd Venice Biennale (2009).

In the past few years, we have worked with a three-fold strategy to reach a global audience of both artists and collectors: hosting shows curated by young intellectuals based in other countries, attending the most important international art fairs, and collaborating with international galleries in the project Roesler Hotel. The Roesler Hotel, launched in 2004, aims to create of a convergence point for the new global nomads, the artists who circulate around the world. Roesler Hotel intends to be a permanent communication channel linking our artistic scene to contemporary art institutions from all over the world.
